Diya Yogashala
Welcome to Diya Yogashala, a Yoga Alliance registered yoga school located in Rishikesh, India, at the foothills of the Himalayas. We offer internationally recognised 200 Hour, 300 Hour, and 500 Hour Yoga Teacher Training programs rooted in traditional Hatha Yoga and Ashtanga Yoga, combined with modern anatomy, meditation, and mindful teaching practices.
Our residential yoga teacher training courses are designed to provide a complete yogic experience, supporting both personal transformation and professional development.
What is included in the course fee?
Your course fee includes shared or private accommodation (subject to availability) with attached bathrooms, three daily satvic vegetarian meals, and all essential course materials including yoga mat, study resources, and stationery. Students also have access to common spaces and selected local excursions during rest days.
What is not included in the course fee?
Airfare, airport transfers (available at an additional cost), personal expenses, and any items not specifically mentioned under inclusions are not covered.
What type of food is served during the training?
We serve freshly prepared satvic vegetarian meals designed to support digestion, energy, and mental clarity. Meals include seasonal fruits, vegetables, whole grains, and lentils. Eggs, meat, alcohol, and intoxicants are not served.
Participants with dietary restrictions or allergies may inform our kitchen team in advance for possible alternatives.
What is your cancellation policy?
The registration deposit is non-refundable and non-transferable. Date changes may be permitted with prior notice, subject to availability. If course fees change for future batches, the updated fee will apply.
What visa should I apply for?
Students are responsible for arranging their own visa. We recommend consulting your local embassy or travel agent for the most appropriate visa type. Upon confirmed enrollment, Diya Yogashala can provide an official acceptance letter to support your visa application.
Do I need travel insurance?
Yes. We strongly recommend that all international students obtain travel insurance covering health, accidents, and travel disruptions. Diya Yogashala does not provide insurance services or recommend specific providers.
When should I arrive and depart?
Arrival is on the course start date between morning and afternoon hours. Departure is on the final day after program completion. Exact timings will be shared prior to the course start.
Early arrival or extra stay may be arranged depending on availability and additional charges.
How do I reach Diya Yogashala in Rishikesh?
Rishikesh is easily accessible via air, train, and road.
Nearest International Airport: New Delhi (DEL)
Nearest Domestic Airport: Dehradun (DED – Jolly Grant Airport)
From New Delhi or Dehradun, taxis can be arranged upon request. Students may also travel by train to Haridwar or Rishikesh, followed by a short taxi ride to the ashram.
Detailed travel guidance is shared with enrolled students before course commencement.
What clothing should I bring?
Comfortable yoga wear, light cotton clothing for warmer months, and layered clothing for cooler seasons are recommended. Modest attire is appreciated in shared spaces. Bring comfortable footwear, flip-flops, and personal toiletries.
What is the weather like in Rishikesh?
Rishikesh experiences varied seasons:
Winter (Dec–Jan): Cool mornings and evenings, pleasant afternoons
Spring (Feb–Apr): Mild and comfortable
Summer (May–Jun): Warm days, lighter clothing recommended
Monsoon (Jul–Aug): Humid with occasional rain
Autumn (Sep–Nov): Clear skies and moderate temperatures

What else should I pack?
You may consider bringing personal medications, reusable water bottle, sunscreen, mosquito repellent, power adapter, journal, alarm clock, and small essentials. Most daily necessities are available locally.
Can beginners join the Yoga Teacher Training?
Yes. Our 200 Hour program welcomes dedicated beginners, while the 300 and 500 Hour courses are designed for certified teachers or experienced practitioners.
Is certification provided?
Yes. Upon successful completion, students receive Yoga Alliance recognised certification, enabling them to teach yoga internationally.
